Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Agent Tolls, at agent-toll.com and app.agent-toll.com. "Agent Tolls", "we" and "us" mean the operators of the Agent Tolls service. By creating an account or placing the gateway in front of your site, you agree to them.

1What the service is

Agent Tolls is an edge gateway you place in front of your website via a DNS record (CNAME). AI agents requesting your pages are asked to pay a small per-page toll in USDC through the open x402 payment protocol, settled on the Base network. Human visitors pass free — either invisibly, or through a Cloudflare Turnstile captcha on sites you put in "checkpoint" mode. You configure your own sites and prices from the dashboard.

2Eligibility and your account

You must be able to form a binding contract to use Agent Tolls, and you may only connect hostnames you own or are authorized to manage — we verify this via DNS records. You sign in with Google or GitHub; keep that identity, and any API keys we issue you, secure. Activity under your account or keys is your responsibility.

3Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We may suspend or disconnect sites that violate this section.

4Tolls, the revenue split, and payouts

Tolls are paid on-chain in USDC to a revenue-split smart contract whose shares are fixed at deployment and cannot be changed: 85% to you, the site owner, and 15% to Agent Tolls (7.5% to each of the two founders). Payouts are pushed automatically by a permissionless contract function — anyone can trigger distribution, and nobody, including us, can redirect it. You set your own per-path prices; we may change our share for future contracts, never for one already deployed for your site.

5Wallets, custody, and blockchain risk

At signup a non-custodial wallet is pregenerated for you through Privy, keyed on your verified email. We store only its address. We never hold, see, or store private keys, and we cannot move, freeze, or recover your funds; you claim key control by logging in to Privy. Blockchain transactions are public and irreversible by nature: a toll paid, or funds sent to a wrong address, cannot be reversed by us or anyone else. USDC and the Base network are operated by third parties we do not control.

6Service provided "as is"

We work to keep the gateway fast and available, but Agent Tolls is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind — including that every agent will pay, that classification of humans and agents is perfect, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Your DNS stays under your control: you can point your domain away from the gateway at any time. You remain responsible for your own site and content.

7Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Agent Tolls and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, lost profits, or lost data arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees Agent Tolls actually received from tolls on your sites in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

8Termination

You can stop at any time: point your DNS away from the gateway and, if you wish, ask us to delete your account at [email protected]. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practical. Settled on-chain tolls and the split contract are unaffected by termination — they live on the blockchain, not with us.

9Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. For material changes we will give notice — by email to your account address or a notice in the dashboard — before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.

10Disputes and contact

If something goes wrong, contact us first at [email protected] and we will work with you in good faith to resolve it. Questions about these terms go to the same address.
